To the Gravesend

I set out to make a series of photographs on an unplanned journey. I made several rules for myself that I would only shoot using one camera and one lens, and where possible only photograph from the vantage point of my bike. I asked my friend Adam to take me on a trip but not to tell me where we were going. We set off on bikes on a sunny afternoon from Hackney and headed East. Our journey meandered along the banks of the canals towards the Thames. From there we ventured towards Dartford and the fringes of London and into the marshland of Kent. My adventure only stopping when the light and my legs were fading. I made it to Gravesend.
